YES FOODS CAN HAVE AN IMPACT ON YOUR SYMPTOMS! My first rheumatologist told me that diet has no impact on my RA and discouraged me from going on any diet. He sent me home with pamphlets that were designed to help folks cope with their disabilities! I am so glad I didn’t listen to his advice! I went through several different diets before finally stumbling upon AIP! Sesame Ladoos / Brittle! These are an Indian treat made for Sankranti, an Indian festival that is celebrated in different parts of India with different names. In general it seems to signify the passing of winter solstice or end of winter. Whatever the significance, growing up my mom always made these sesame ladoos which are hard but goeey balls made with sesame and unrefined cane sugar or jaggery. This version of mine is a paleo version using coconut sugar and honey. You can search on my website for ‘sesame brittle’ to get the full recipe. This is a wonderful and healthy snack. There’s only one problem with these ladoos - you can’t stop at 1!
