and I have just looked through my photographs – it appears I have about 550 of them……cochin, backwaters, the fish markets, the fishermen, people up trees harvesting coconuts, women and men on the streets, markets, many of different species of no longer alive animals, lambs heads skinned, which I think it’s important to face if you are going to eat meat, but then, I know that opinions on this one will differ. Hammerhead sharks, and all manner of fish and poultry, oh and the food of course, and the fields under water, and women’s saris, so much I saw, so much I had forgotten, thank you for motivating me to go back and look. I also have some shots of cats eating curries off of banana leaves – my cat would “laugh” at me if I offered him that, and cats being fed fish, seemed very much more live and let live than what I have seen in spain for example.
Oh yes do post pics from your trip too! Would love to see them! Oh you don’t get plantains where you live? that’s too bad! Maybe you can make banana fritters! 🙂

plantains I can get but don’t have them in the house 🙂 – cannot get loads of things, but plantains have been around for a bit.! I will post some pics!
oh yes the backwaters, I must post some pics too. Love the recipes. No plantains on hand though so will have to make something else
