This 3 ingredient 'nomato' sauce is the perfect base for a lot of sauces - pizza sauce, pasta sauce, curry sauce or ketchup!

RecipeIngredients
  • ½ cup pumpkin puree (canned or homemade)
  • ⅓ cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • ¼ cup sweet cherries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ inch cinnamon stick (optional)
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ cup water
RecipeInstructions
  1. Add all the ingredients to the insert pot of the Instant pot. use a spoon to give it a quick stir. Place the lid and turn the valve into sealing position. Pressure cook for 5 minutes.
  2. Let pressure release naturally or release it manually. Open the lid and discard the cinnamon stick. Blend the contents (using a hand held mixer or a regular blender) to a smooth consistency.
  3. Transfer to an air tight container and store in refrigerator for 3-4 days or in the freezer.
Notes
This is just a base sauce and you can add different spices to this depending upon what you are using it for. For example you can add oregano and more garlic for a pizza or pasta sauce or cumin and coriander for a curry sauce.
